If you never played warcraft 3 just buy reforged for the campaign, for the price it’s a cool experience and a pretty long story too. eelut2 • 3 yr. ago. I would say buy Reforged. They changed a lot of the camera angles and the cutscenes to make it easier to be drawn into the story, and they completely remade certain missions, for the better
Don't bother with reforged. Unless you can no longer buy the classic version of wc3. It runs okay most of the time, real problem is that it used to run okay all of the time. Custom maps are where a lot of people stay and never leave. Id say its worth it for the custom maps alone, yeah.
GrapesOfWath-1278 January 29, 2020, 6:23am 1. When Reforged was announced, it was advertised that there would be cross-play between reforged and classic. When reforged was released, my classic version was replaced with reforged. Why was I allowed to spend money on reforged through a blizzard account that already had the classic games registered
This week, Blizzard announced the release date for Warcraft III: Reforged, the complete reimagining of the real-time strategy classic. As such, we wanted to provide an overview of the content coming to players in the new year.
No. Don't give blizzard any more money ever. They took a big dump on their own community and the developers who made a great game 18 years ago. If you want to play the game, get an old CD key for Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne. Blizzard doesn't care about this game, they just want your money. They are criminals.
reforged needs a terrain-trees retextures, better unit recognizition (colours , etc…) . I want how game looked in 2018 blizzcon gameplay, not what we have nowdays. I have to use quenching mod which improve graphics a lot, and ofc, more smooth animations, not the 30 fps animations from old warcraft 3.
Last year, a hint at what may have happened to Warcraft 3: Reforged emerged in a report about mismanagement and cut costs. Information at the time seemed to indicate that Classic Games, the team
Blizzard has finally truly gone from Activision to EA with this one. While the “Reforged” aspect is lacking, Warcraft 3 is still a fantastic game that’s worth getting. If, as you say, you mainly want to experience the lore, then it’s certainly worth it (in my opinion, one of the best stories in gaming).
The true cons of the game are the absolute stripping away of features we had available for years. Ladder and custom campaigns are still gone, and the game is prone to desync issues (even in Campaign!) if you use the updated graphics. WC3Rs community/custom games section is alive and well. Worth the $40 imo.
It doesn't get discussed as much as Defense of the Ancients, but Warcraft III had a surprising symbiosis with The Lord of the Rings—one that's worth revisiting, on the eve of Warcraft III: Reforged.
