I am looking to purchase a camera for a construction site project and the GoPro Hero 9 seems to take great footage. I would like to know how long the battery lasts shooting a time lapse as individual photos at 5 minute intervals please. We already have a Brinno time lapse camera for another angle and that has great battery life but pretty awful 6 Steps to Shooting the Timelapse Images. To create a great time-lapse video, you’re going to need some great images. 1. Frame It Up Well. The first time I used the GoPro to shoot a time-lapse series I was so excited about what I was doing (with the camera) that I forgot what I was actually doing (shooting images). 2. Pick the Right Intervals for Time Lapse. The intervals you pick are where the magic of time-lapse happens. In simpler terms, the intervals are the time gaps between each shot your GoPro takes. For instance, if you set the intervals for each shot at two seconds, the GoPro will snap a photo every two seconds. The battery would show the charging symbol, but wouldn't actually charge the battery past whatever percentage it was already at. It also didn't drain the battery any further. So if the device was showing 50% battery life and I plugged it in to run, it would stay at 50% for as long as I ran it. The GoPro Hero 8 Black has three Time Lapse modes: Time Warp 2.0, Time Lapse and Night Lapse. In this article you are going to learn all about GoPro Hero 8 Time Lapse modes, including best time lapse settings and a few filming tips to turn your GoPro Time-Lapses into epic videos. GoPro says the integrated battery can be charged in as little as two and a half hours and that there’s a quick-charge mode that takes it from 0 to 60 percent in an hour. or time-lapse mode I want to use my GoPro 8 to make a timelapse of a construction site. The building process will take 2 months. If I were to take a picture -let's say- every 15 minutes, how long will the battery last? I don't have access to power supply unfortunately the camera will be rigged with a cherry picker so I cannot manually change battery/power bank Interesting. That’s not what I’m seeing. I just tried it with a HERO7 Black and HERO7 Silver with external USB powerbricks and an AC charger. I’m not seeing the battery charge while recording video or time-lapse video–only between shots when shooting time-lapse photo. However, with a fully charged battery, a GoPro camera can generally last for several hours of time-lapse recording, depending on the interval time and duration settings used. For example, with an interval time of 5 seconds and a duration of 8 hours, a GoPro HERO 9 Black can last for approximately 2.5 hours of time-lapse recording. I am effectively using the TimeLapse feature. But it seems the battery is not up the par with the Timelapse feature. I tried a Timelapse movie at 4K with a interval of 5 seconds. But after 35 seconds of recording time the battery is completly drained. Having a timelapse recording of 35 seconds on a full battery feels like something is wrong. XtllOG3.
