JoeSoSalty • 9 yr. ago • Edited 9 yr. ago. If you haven't had it fixed it, try this: Add "-assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80" without quotes to the end of your gw2.exe file. You can easily right click this from the start menu. No idea what it does, but it worked instantly for me last night.
That's usually caused by a bug on server's side. The servers apparently don't check for errors, so when they fail to download a file, they'll simply host whatever it was able to get. This causes GW2 to get stuck, since the file is corrupted. Edited September 13, 2021 by Healix.5819. 1.
Thank you for trying to help me! Logging in anyway didn't work, it said that info entered were wrong. Disabling ad-blocker/script blocker didn't work either, I don't use Firefox, Hard refresh didn't work.
Here's Gw2-64.exe direct from the patch server. Rename it to either Gw2-64.exe and place it wherever you want to install it, or rename it to Gw2Setup-64.exe to invoke the setup. If you can't download it, something's likely preventing you from downloading executables, so check any security software. You can verify your connection to the patch
Client stuck downloading at 0KB/sec. : r/Guildwars2. New player here. Client stuck downloading at 0KB/sec. I can log onto the launcher but the client stops downloading after a minute or so. I've tried changing the hosts file and adding this "174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com" but it doesn't work. I've tried running it as admin and it
Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -assetsrv 62.154.232.120 It is recommended to remove this at a later point, to let the loadbalancers do the load balancing work. Related Topics
First Fix: Grant Guild Wars 2 access in your firewall program and exempt the game in your antivirus program. You might be unable to connect to the Guild Wars 2 servers because your system protection applications are denying the game network access. This problem mainly occurs because these programs see the game as suspicious.
Install the addon loader and d3d wrapper. Download and extract the archive gw2radial.zip found in the latest release. Place gw2addon_gw2radial.dll in your addons folder inside a new folder named gw2radial (with the default game install path, this would be C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\addons\gw2radial ). Run the game!
For almost everyone, this is the only solution needed for this problem, as it's specifically a problem with your default patch server hosting incomplete copies of the files. For the few who still have a problem, it's caused by other software interfering with GW2's traffic, such as blocking specific URLs or injecting ads.
