Range Rover (P38A) The Land Rover Range Rover (LP), generally shortened to Range Rover, is the second-generation Range Rover model from British car maker Land Rover. It was launched on 28 September 1994, 24 years after the introduction of the Range Rover Classic. It included an updated version of the Rover V8 engine, with the option of a 2.5
The 5 inputs to the TCM from the transmission manual shift shaft switch assembly indicate the transmission gear selector lever position. This information is used for engine start enable, engine controls as well as determining the transmission shift patterns. The state of each input is available for display on the scan tool.
Did the hard reset, still getting the transmission fault (F) and all special programs are off and says limited gears available. Still can't get the transmission out of park. I also don't have the emergency release to get the LR3 out of park. I only have the parking break lever. Any other ideas
Disco 3 transmission issues. 1 at round town speeds the tachometer has a noticeable "hunt" of around 300 rpm, if you listen carefully you can hear the engine speed change accordingly so it's not a tachometer playing up. 2 about every 300 or so Kim's of highway driving the tranny drops into limited gear mode.
I have a “Transmission fault limited gears available “ I read the code with a Foxwell NT530 and got a “P0659-00” code which reads “Actuator supply voltage A - circuit high”. Does anybody know how to correct this. It’s kind of an intermittent problem. But it’s very inconvenient and I don’t drive it because of this.
Step one here would be to pull the battery, remove the cover for the TCCM, and check it, and its connectors for any water/corrosion. I'd bet money on Dave - this happens a lot to unsuspecting pressure washed engine bays ;-) This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread.
Usually if it pops on the dash a gearbox fault its a battery issue, been sitting too long or weak. Just go have a load test done on it (in my experience) hippielaw • 1 yr. ago. 2019 Land Rover discovery sport. lr4overit • '14 LR4 (RIP '11 LR4) • 1 yr. ago. If you're close to the end of warranty make sure you get a work order before it
Greetings, My 2010 LR2 started giving me some problems this week. Shifting, especially at lower gears, has been a little jerky and rough for the past week. Yesterday I got an HDC fault that said something about "transmission fault, limited gears available". Took it to the local car repair place yesterday, but their equipment couldn't read the
The HDC Fault still shows on the dash, as does the Terrain Response System Faulty error, & the Transmission Fault Limited Gears Only is still showing. However, the Engine light has gone away, & the battery light is now on again.
Well all was good until I had to head away for work to Batemans Bay. On the freeway on cruise control doing 110kph going up hills it did not drop down to 5th, it would labour and then the dreaded "F" Transmission fault limited gears available - 3rd only. I stopped and restarted probably 5 times to reset the fault.
